Why I started Lemonade Insiders and Mobile Bar Insiders
I should have started these groups four years ago.
That's the honest truth, and it's the first thing I want to say about Lemonade Insiders and Mobile Bar Insiders. These are two groups for people who run lemonade businesses and mobile bars, and they're launching now. I wish they had existed a long time ago, because I've watched the same pattern play out over and over in both of these industries.
Most people in this space work alone
If you run a lemonade business or a mobile bar, there's a good chance you're doing it mostly on your own. Very few people in the lemonade and mobile bartending world are part of a bigger organization. Even fewer have someone they can call who has actually been through everything they're going through right now.
So people do what makes sense. They post in a Facebook group and ask for advice.
I want to be careful here, because I'm not knocking free Facebook groups. They do a lot of good. People share ideas, cheer each other on, and help each other out every day. I'm not trying to minimize that at all.
But here's what I've seen. Someone posts a real question about their business and gets so many replies, all pointing in different directions. Now they have a new problem. They can't tell who is giving great advice from real experience and who is just telling them what they think they should do. Everybody sounds sure of themselves. Not everybody has been there.
That's why we started this. The point of Insiders is knowing that the people you're talking shop with have actually done the work.
Who it's for
Insiders is for people who are serious about making lemonade or mobile bartending a real business. Not a side hobby. Not something you pull out once every other time an event comes up. A business.
That's also why there's a small fee to join. Even a small fee filters the room. The people who pay it are the people who are serious, and that changes the conversation for everybody. When everyone in the room is building something real, the talk gets real fast.
Why two groups
People ask why I didn't just make one group. Lemonade and mobile bartending target different markets and different audiences, so each one deserves its own room.
But the activities are the same. You're running a beverage business. You're booking events, showing up, serving people, and trying to grow something that lasts.
I've done both, and I've been successful at both. So I can sit in either room and talk shop from real experience. Lemonade Insiders is for lemonade operators. Mobile Bar Insiders is for mobile bartenders. Same approach, different rooms.
What we actually talk about
Ask me what problems we'll dig into and the honest answer is that there are so many. Everybody walks in with something different going on in their business. But when you listen long enough, you realize it's also the same thing everybody goes through.
That's what makes a group like this work. You bring your situation, and we work through it together. Real situations from real businesses. We talk about the dynamics of running the business, the mindset it takes, and the tactics and strategy that actually move things forward. Sometimes the person next to you is dealing with the exact thing you already got through, and you're the one with the answer. Sometimes it's the other way around.
Nobody is standing at the front of the room reading slides. It's being in a room with me and other operators who get it, talking shop about the business you're actually running.
What you walk away with
The best way I can describe it is this. You leave feeling like we just helped you solve a problem, or at least work through one. That feeling matters, because when you run a business alone, problems tend to sit in your head and get bigger.
But the bigger thing is mindset. This whole thing is about mindset. Just being part of a group like this shifts how you think about your business. You start treating it like a real business, because you're surrounded by people who treat theirs that way. You stop second guessing every move, because you've got people who have been there to check your thinking with.
A lot of what feels heavy when you're on your own gets lighter when you're in the right room. That's what I want these groups to be.
Come to the first free roundtable
If you run a lemonade business or a mobile bar, and you're serious about it, I'd love for you to come to the first free roundtable. It costs nothing, it's a chance to see what this is like, and you'll be talking shop with people who are building the same kind of business you are.
